Ardesen is a metropolis and district of Rize Province within the Black Sea place of Turkey, 48 km alongside the coast street from the town of Rize. See Rize Province for the records of the region, at one time a part of the Kingdom of Georgia, the Roman and Byzantine Empires and later the Empire of Trebizond till their defeat in 1461 by way of the Ottoman Sultan Mehmet II. The origins of the call is thought to be Armenian coming from Ard- which means subject and -Shen which means village.
Ardesen is sandwiched among sea and mountain, with 10 km of Black Sea shoreline, whilst maximum of the district is hill and mountain, extending 50 km inland, up to the Altıparmak hills after which on to Camlihemsin and the Kackar mountains. There is plenty of rainfall however little land flat sufficient for planting something besides for tea, and existence is tough in these wet highlands. The highland villages are faraway, and reaching them with roads, cables and other infrastructure could be very tough.

Arhavi (Laz: არქაბი/Arǩabi, Georgian: არქაბი/Arkabi); is a district of Artvin province in the Black Sea Region of the Republic of Turkey.
With a district population of 21,661 in 2021, it is the 4th largest district of Artvin province. With a city population of 21,661, it is the 301st in Turkey and the 3rd largest district in Artvin province after Artvin and Hopa.
The terrain is rugged and mountainous. The area of the district center is approximately 6 km², and the total district area is 314 km². It has a coastline of 9.69 km. Kapisre Creek is the largest stream in the district.
Arhavi is famous for the Arhavi Culture and Art Festival, which has been held since 1973.
